Gerianne J Mulanix OD Owner/Optometrist Linden Family Eye Care
Dr. Gerianne Mulanix
Doctor Gerianne J. Mulanix
Doctor Gerianne J. Mulanix was raised in Linden and is a proud, second-generation Linden Eagle. She graduated with honors from the University of Michigan-Flint with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. After completing a four-year doctorate program at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago she chose to specialize in ocular disease and Low Vision Rehabilitation, completing a year-long residency at the Lexington Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Kentucky. Dr. Mulanix then qualified to sit for and successfully passed the National Board of Examiners in Optometry exam in Advanced Competency in Medical Optometry. She went on to join a multi-specialty group ophthalmology practice in Michigan focusing on pre- and post-operative cataract and laser vision correction, ocular disease management, emergency eye care, specialty contact lens fits and family eye care. Dr. Mulanix is a member of the Michigan Optometric Association and American Optometric Association.
Now, she is overjoyed to have the opportunity to combine her energy and expertise to serve the patients of her hometown of Linden and beyond as the owner and optometrist at Linden Family Eye Care. When she’s not wearing her white doctor coat, you may find Dr. Mulanix in the vegetable garden or hiking a trail with her husband Bryan, two young children Ezra and Judith and Siberian Husky.
Dr. Kirsten Donnellon
Doctor of Optometry
Dr. Kirsten Donnellon
Doctor Kirsten Donnellon graduated from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor with a Bachelor’s of Science in Cell, Molecular and Developmental Biology. Dr. Donnellon continued her education at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University where she graduated with high honors and earned a second Bachelor's of Science in Visual Science and her Doctor of Optometry degree.
Dr. Donnellon's clinical rotations took her to Charleston, SC where she trained at the Ralph H. Johnson Veterans Hospital and MUSC Feldberg Center for Vision Rehabilitation in Low Vision helping patients with advanced visual impairment. Enjoying the better weather and beautiful beaches, Dr. Donnellon started practicing in Charleston, SC after graduation. In Charleston, Dr. Donnellon helped establish the Pediatric Vision Center at her former private practice and is a strong advocate for the InfantSee program which offers complimentary baby screenings between the age of 6 months to 1 year. During her time in South Carolina, Dr. Donnellon served as Secretary, Vice President and President of the Coastal Carolina Optometric Society. Eventually, Dr. Donnellon and her husband started to miss their families and the beautiful Michigan seasons and moved home in 2013.
Dr. Donnellon and Dr. Mulanix worked together for about three years at the same multi-specialty group ophthalmology practice focusing on pre- and post-operative cataract and laser vision correction, ocular disease management, emergency eye care, specialty contact lens fits and family eye care. Dr. Donnellon particularly became interested in specialty contact lens fittings including scleral and hybrid lenses for treating complex corneal conditions such as keratoconus and post-corneal transplant fits. After spending eight years in ophthalmology, Dr. Donnellon decided to reunite with Dr. Mulanix and join Linden Family Eyecare.
Dr. Donnellon is a member of the Michigan Optometric Association and American Optometric Association.
When not practicing, Dr. Donnellon is still quite busy with her three young daughters and husband. Dr. Donnellon and her family are big foodies and love to check out the newest restaurants around town. They also enjoy live music and the great outdoors.
Daniela Osorio brings a wealth of experience, with almost 15 years in the optical field and is a graduate of Oakland University with degrees in Biology and Physics (*smarty pants*). She is an expert at finding you the perfect pair of glasses to suit your needs!
Daniela grew up in Swartz Creek where she still lives. When not caring for patients, you can find her chasing her rambunctious, but charming, son around the many parks and lakes in the area.
Stephanie Sproule is the patient coordinator at Linden Family Eye Care. Her role here is to check patient’s medical insurance and discount plan eligibility. She also helps with scheduling appointments, greeting patients, and answering phones. Stephanie has recent addition to the team.
Stephanie grew up in East Tawas and has lived in Linden for the past 23 years. She has been married to her husband Greg for 26 years. She has 3 sons, Brandon who is 23, Connor who is 21 and Cameron who is 18. She was actively involved with Linden Community Schools until her last one graduated in June 2021. She enjoys any time spent with her family especially on a warm sunny beach or any of the numerous biking trails Michigan has to offer. She also enjoys running with friends.
Nycole Christopher has been an optician for 16 years and about 7 years ago she trained as a clinical technician as well. She knows her stuff and loves working in the friendly Linden community and has enjoyed getting to know everyone. Nycole is a jack-of-all-trades here at Linden Family Eye Care and is right a home helping you pick a stylish pair of glasses or getting you prepped for the doctor.
Bryan Mulanix is the Practice Manager here at Linden Family Eye Care. He joined on here full time in 2019 and loves being part of the family business. Bryan is also active in the City of Linden as vice-chair and business liaison officer of the Linden DDA and a member of the Linden Master Plan Steering Committee.
